Following a comprehensive field assessment by the Areem Plus expert team, a targeted upgrade and expansion programme for the Sheikh Zayed Eye Care Centre in Benjul has been approved by the Office of Development Affairs. The project will upgrade existing facilities and construct a new dedicated ophthalmology unit — expanding access to specialist eye care for communities across The Gambia.
